Phonecall informing of torture

	DİYARBAKIR- Ahmet Akbalık, a prisoner in Düzce type T Prison, called his family to inform them about the torture they have been subjected to for three days, and there are prisoners who are badly hurt.

	 

	The fact that 32 prisoners have been subjected to torture in Düzce type T Prison have come to the fore. A prisoner in Düzce Prison have called his sister within his weekly call right and told her that they have been subjected to torture for 3 days because they refused to stand up during the count.

	Dilek Akbalık who recorded her phone call with her brother on september 28, at 16.00 told, “He told me to record the phonecall the minute i picked up the phone. He told met hat they were being subjected to torture, beaten and the new warden have been treating the prisoners arbitrarily. The got beaten during both counts in the morning and in the evening. I am deaf in one ear because of the beating and I cant feel my legs. I have bruises in all my body. There are friends who are in critical condition. Dilek Akbalık added that she is worried about her brothers life.

	 

	Dilek Akbalık said her brother repeatedly mentioned that they are afraid for their lives.

	 

	Dilek Akbalık have applied to Human Rights Association (IHD) Diyarbakır for legal support on sempetmer 29th.
