Solution to Syria crisis: Giré Spi 2018-10-03 14:35:29   GİRESPİ-  Giré Spi canton (Til Ebyad) where Arab, Kurdish and Armenian people live have been a mirror to common life awareness with its council of 62 people, 3 districts and 600 village communes. The Democratic autonomous government co-chair Hemid El Ebid, emphasized that they are the solution to Syrian crisis. Gire Spi, the Fırat District canton of North and East Syria Autonomous Government have become an important centre where the people are forming common life awareness. Gire Spi, fall within Cizire and Kobane cantons, is right across Urfa's Akçakale district.The city where Arabs, Kurds, Armenian and Turkmenian people live, sets an example of the system Syria should have in  general. Being announced a canton, the administrative system of the district became; Gire Spi being the center, 3 districts and 600 village communes named Eyn, Isa and Siluk.The population is about 250 thousand people and there are two refugee camps. There are about 20 thousand people taking shelter in those refugee camps OCCUPATION PERIODS The city have fallen into the hands of Free Syrian Army and El Nusra currently called as Heyet Tehrir El Şam (HTŞ) when the civil war started. Then the city have become a town of death after it was delivered to the ISIS;  the city have seen massacres, executions, mass beheading, and have become a cage of death. On June 15, 2015 North Syrian forces took the city from ISIS. PEOPLE'S COMMON GOVERNANCE While the organising of governance is determined by Gire Spi Democratic Autonomous Government, this assembly consists of 62 people. An Arab and a Kurd have elected to co chair the autonomous government. While the members  are determined due to the city's distribution of population, even though Turkmenians and Armenians constitute the minority of the population they are a part of the governing process. COMMUNES ASSEMBLED Communes are formed in the 3 districts and 600 villages. Being a significant part of the Fırat District, Gire Spi have become an example of people living together. ARMENİAN BOROUGH The Armenian church which was shut down by ISIS is now open and is an example of common life. There are relatives of Armenians who were able to escape from the deportation in the district. While Arabic and Kurdish are being taught in the school, teaching Turkish and Armenian are being scheduled. There are language courses for Turkish and Armenian in the city. Art and Culture Institutions are working for the development of all cultures and art coexisting  in the district. ADDRESS OF THE SOLUTION Hemid El Ebrid, co chair of Gire Spi Democratic Autonomous Government states that they have formed the trust to peacefully live together and that they formed an alternate way  to Syrian crisis. Ebrid, being an Arab, stated that Arabs are wholeheartedly supporting the system and all the people of all communities are doing the same thing as well. Ebrid emphasized that they see themselves as the address of the solution in Syria.
