Applied for the fifth time in 21 months : My son in not a waif 2018-10-24 14:52:01 DİYARBAKIR- The body of Mehmet Mazlum ateş who lost his life in a firefight in Bitlis's rural area is being kept in the cemetery of the nameless even though he is biologically identified. Mother Rindê Ateş says "My son is not a waif" after applying for the fifth time. Hundreds of people who got killed in the conflicts during the curfew after July 24, 2015 were buried in the cemetery of the nameless.   265 of the 267 bodies that were exhumed from the Garzan Cemetery to test their DNA is currently lost.    THEY ARE KEEPING US WAITING FOR 21 MONTHS   The body of Mehmet Mazlum Ateş from HPG who lost his life in a gun fight in  the rural area of Bitlis on January 13, 2017 is being kept in the cemetery of the nameless for 21 months even though his family applied to claim his body numerously.   Mother Rindê Ateş said that they applied to the Chief Prosecutor's office of Bitlis to claim his body when they heard about his death.     Mother Ateş said Even though she  identified her son's body they didn't give him to her added: " I applied 5 times in the last 21 months. This is cruelty. This is an insult. No one is a waif. I want to claim my son's body and bury him in Diyarbakır. All I want is a grave. He is not a waif, why did they bury him in the cemetery of the nameless?"
