Linguist Alpay: Assimilation politicy have been updated

	DİYARBAKIR-Linguist Alpay who indicates that since the foundation of the republic, the policy of monolingualism have been kept, said they are facing a scene that the asimilation policy have been updated.

	 

	While Kurdish language is fighting with prohibitions and asimilation policies for years, Linguist Necmiye Alpay said the language policy have been an assimilative policy aiming for homogenisation since the foundation of republic. Alpay, indicating that they are facing a scene that the assimilation policy have been updated, said : " This language policy causes the languages other than the state chose to extracted from public life and dissappear."

	 

	'KURDISH LANGUAGE RESISTED'  

	 

	Alpay emphasizing that Kurdish language have resisted, said despite all the efforts of Kurdish people, the will to sustain this language have been terrorised. Alpay: " I have seen the will of the Kurdish people who are trying to own their language. This will have surfaced against the wrongfulness of the assimilation policies as a demand for right and a struggle to survive."

	 

	Alpay, said that the biggest step towards peace would be possible with a language policy that lets Kurdish language be spoken in all private and public places and all languages treated equally.
