51 percent of women doesn't feel safe in Turkey 2018-11-28 11:42:27   NEWS DESK-  According to the research of Avon Foundation, while 5 percent of women globally doen't feel safe, in Turkey those numbers increase to 51 percent. According to the research, 38 percent of the women believes that psychological abuse must be considered a crime.   Avon Foundation have made a research in 15 countries with the participation of 14 thousand 400 women.   According to the research, while globally the 5 percent of women doesn't feel safe in their community, those numbers increase to 47 percent in South Africa and 51 percent in Turkey.   While only 60 percent of the women believes their claims of abuse to be taken seriously, (Those numbers decreases to 45 percent in Turkey), only 58 percent of them believes the legal system will protect themselves from physical or sexual abuse.    59 percent of the women in Argentina, and 58 percent of the women in South Africa believes their legal system will consider sexual abuse a crime.   While the 27 percent of the women in Russia and 38 percent of the women in Turkey believes psychological abuse must be considered a crime, those numbers increase to 87 percent in Philipines, and 77 percent in Colombia.
