Hearing of Leyla Güven who is currently in a hunger strike tomorrow 2018-12-25 11:40:59 DİYARBAKIR- The hearing of DTK Co-chair and HDP Hakkari Parliamentarian Leyla Güven who is currently on the 48th day of her hunger strike regarding the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan will be held tomorrow in Diyarbakır 9th Criminal Court.   Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Parliamentarian Leyla Güven has been detained since 31 January due to her reaction to the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) 's operation against Efrin, her statements about the operation  and the work she had done for DTK and is being tried with the request of a prison sentence from 25 years to 46.5 years.The fourth hearing will be held in Diyarbakır 9th Criminal Court tomorrow.   The court  decided her release on the grounds that evidence was gathered at the hearing held on June 29,  but with the objection to the decision a superior court have reversed the decision. The request of release of Mrs. Guven by her lawyers based on the release decision of court of appeal concerning CHP MP Enis Berberoglu was overturned by 9th Heavy Penal Court which previously gave the decision on release, with the reasoning of "changes in the situation of evidences   Güven, who is on the 48th day of the hunger strike, stated that she will not attend the hearing with the petition she sent to the court.
