Operation against politicians and trade unionists in Ankara: 12 people under custody 2019-01-08 11:30:05 ANKARA- 12 people incuding HDP executives and trade unionists taken under custody during police raids to their homes in scope of an investigation in Ankara.   Police raided numerous homes early this morning in Ankara. Many people taken under custody including the executives of People's Democratic Party (HDP), Rojava Association Co-chair, All Municipal and Local Administration Services Workers Union (Tüm-Bel-Sen) no 2 Branch President and former women's secretary and Education and Science Workers Union (Eğitim-Sen) members. While the reason for the operation remains unknown, the people taken under custody was brought to Ankara Police headquarters.
