Tuncel and Irmak are starting an indefinite non-rotating hunger strike 2019-01-14 19:13:57 KOCAELİ-  DBP Co-chair Sabahat Tuncel and former HDP Deputy Selma Irmak will be starting an indefinite non-rotating hunger strike in Kandıra Prison where they are being kept. To support the demand of Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven, another prison joins the strike on a daily basis.    Tuncel and Irmak who are starting an indefinite non-rotating hunger strike as of tomorrow have sent this message:    "The resistance our friend Leyla Güven have started continues expanding from prison to prison in its 68th day. Leyla Güven's demand is not personal but a social demand.It is the demand of millions of Kurd who wants peace and freedom. The meeting Mr. Öcalan have done with his brother is significant. But that does not mean the isolation have ended. We will be starting an indefinite non-rotating hunger strike on January 15 with the demand of the termination of the policy of isolation. We will continue until our demand is met. We are calling on to the powers of democracy for solidarity."
