Leyla Güven is in a hunger strike for 70 days: Let's be her voice 2019-01-16 15:03:52 DİYARBAKIR- Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven is in the 70th day of the hunger strike she started to protest the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Güven's daughter Sabiha Temizkan, underlining that her mother is in critical condition, said: "Even the hours that pass is significant for my mother. Let's be her voice before its too late." Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven is in the 70th day of the hunger strike she started in Diyarbakır Type E Closed prison to protest the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. The hunger strikes 226 prisoners from different prisons is continuing. There are people in hunger strikes in Federal Kürdistan District, France/ Strassburg and Wales.   Sabiha Temizkan, Güven's daughter who made a phone call with her mother said she is worried about her health. Temizkan who stated that she visits her mother regularly, said: "The last two times I saw her, she did not look well. There is nothing comforting me except her bright eyes. She was so tired when she spoke to me. She usually looks strong when she talks to me in order not to make me sad. She did not have the energy to do this time."    'MINUTES MATTER'   Temizkan who underlined that even fluid intake is getting harder for her mother, said: "This means that the main thing that is vital for her is now getting harder. The situation is dire. Even the minutes matter for my mother. My mother is a parliamentarian detained unlawfully and she is resisting with her life for peace.Let's be her voice before it's too late."
