Prof.Dr. Savran: Post-election layoff waves will occur 2019-01-28 10:41:45   İSTANBUL- Prof. Dr. Sungur Savran who compares the economical crisis in Turkey to the 'Great Depression' in 1929, said:" The government postpones the slump after elections. After the election, an attack will be launched directly on the rights of workers and laborers. Great layoff waves will occur."   While the effects of the economic crisis made it evident, so far the interventions of the government's under the name of "investment packages" did not work. Prof. Dr. Sungur Savran who indicates that the government has made concessions over concessions to international financial capital circles with these "packages". Dr. Sungur Savran said that the government is trying to postpone the crisis until the March 31st elections rather than taking the necessary measures against the economic crisis.   Indicating that the the rapid downturn in production areas of Turkey, Savran stated that this  is increasing unemployment and said:  "AKP government is making concessions over concessions to the international financial capital environment, to comply with their rules and to satisfy them that foreign investments are continuing in Turkey. For the time being, the results did not appear fully. Because the AKP is trying to survive the 31 March elections without incident. But after March 31, an offensive will start directly on the rights, achievements and positions of the labourers and the working masses."   'WAVES OF LAYOFFS IS PROBABLE'   Savran, who pointed out that there will be great waves of layoffs after the local elections, continued his words as follows: "Therefore, all workers from all nations and countries should come together against the crisis. All unionized and non-unionized workers, unemployed and young laborers, regardless  of which union they are from and must fight against the economic crisis by taking retirees and other oppressed by their side. If the workers and laborers step-by-step withdraw their  support from the AKP, the AKP's biggest vote power gets a big blow. Therefore, the situation can change completely with mass reaction in the face of these policies carried out by the government. That is why it is very important that the workers and the laboring masses follow a very consistent and challenging line in this regard."
