For the refugee children of the world: Kefernahum 2019-01-30 11:56:59 İSTANBUL- Every angle of the film Kefernahum directed by  Director Nadine Labaki, the story of a 12-year-old boy who filed a lawsuit against his family saying, "Why did you give birth to me?" is a frame of life we are very familiar in our daily lives. The film makes it necessary to look at children's rights in a different angle inside this 'crisis of refugees' The movie 'Kefernahum' where Lebanese Director Nadine Labaki tells the tale of a 12 year old child who filed a law suit against his parents who was born into poverty and violence saying 'why did you give birth to me?' came to the theaters on January 25.    'Kefernahum' which is mentioned frequently in the Bible is a historical village in Palastine and means chaos. The story, which started with the life struggle of Zain,  son of a Syrian refugee family in Beirut which is known by its poverty sets light to different kinds of reality. The most important thing about this reality which is being expressed for years is that it is the children who are most affected by the war's destructiveness .    Kefernahum is a Lebanese-made drama directed by Nadine Labaki and released in 2018. Its first performance was in the main competition section of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. The film was  a nominee for the 91st Academy Awards in the category of Best Film Award in the Foreign Language on February 24, 2019 and was shortlisted for nine films and was nominated for an Academy Award.
