'Rent Project' is on the agenda again before the elections 2019-02-07 11:39:12   ANKARA- Kanal Ankara Project, which was canceled after Melih Gökçek, is on the agenda again. Chamber of Architects Ankara Branch Chairman Tezcan Karakus Candan said that the project that provides a large rent opening to the tender before the election is noteworthy.   Mass Housing Administration (TOKI) announced the tender date of the Canal Ankara Project planned to be constructed in the İmrahor Valley in Ankara. The project, which will be auctioned on 18 February was opened to tender in the period of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek but then was canceled by Mustafa Tuna.Later, it was announced that the project was transferred from the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and it was announced that it would be merged with the National Garden to be made to Gölbaşı.    Chamber of Architects Ankara Branch President Tezcan Karakuş Candan who stated  Channel Ankara Project is a very large area of rent , said: "Gökçek did not resign before the tender was made. The tender was made, given to someone and Gokcek gave his resignation 2 days after it. But Mustafa Tuna has canceled the tender after taking office."   Candan who evaluated that the fact that the project being brought to the agenda just before the elections is noteworthy, said Imrahor Valley is one of the most important breath corridors in Ankara and a very important water basin. Candan said: "As Chamber of Architects we believe that opening the valley to any kind of construction is not right.From the moment they close the Imrahor Valley, Ankara will become a closed box. Therefore, we will face a city that cannot breathe. Therefore, this city will remain without breath and with air pollution and many diseases.In the face of this situation, people will either live in an unhealthy city and lose their health or leave Ankara by trying to get out of the city."
