Call for Leyla Güven in the Justice Watch

	İSTANBUL- The fact that the sentences of some journalists of Cumhuriyet Newspaper was approved, was protested in the Justice Watch in Çağlayan Courthouse. A call for awareness was made during the watch for Leyla Güven.

	 

	A number of journalists, lawyers and writers protesting the approval of the decision on some journalists who were sentenced in the Cumhuriyet newspaper in the appellate court. Lawyers, journalists and writers who waited a watch in front of the Statue of Themis in the courthouse, then made a press statement in front of Gate C.

	 

	Attorney Several Ballıkaya who took the floor for a speech drew attention to the hunger strike of Leyla Güven which is on its 106th day today. Ballıkaya who underlined that the political prisoners are laying their bodies to hunger as a last resort, said: " I want all the public to see this. A deputy is on a hunger strike for 106 days just to make the government abide by their own laws. Please raise awareness to the unjustices in the prisons and in Turkey."
