Plaza de Mayo Mother Cortinas visited Leyla Güven 2019-03-02 13:43:36 DİYARBAKIR- Plaza de Mayo Mother Nora Morales Cortinas, visited DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven on the 115th day of her hunger strike. Cortinas who offered her support to Güven with a poem she read, told she will tell about her hunger strike back in Argentina. The hunger strike initiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven to protest the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues on its 114nd day. Güven is continuing the hunger strike she started in prison from her home since her release on January 25. Support visits are continuing as well.   In Argentina, Nora Morales Cortinas, one of the mothers of the Plaza de Mayo, who is a symbol to the world in search of justice for their lost children, visited Leyla Güven with three journalists.   Cortinas who expressed her feeling to Leyla Güven during her visit, emphasized that she came in solidarity. Cortinas stated that they will be in solidarity with Güven and the other hunger strikers from now on. Cortinas who stated that she will tell about the importance and the meaning of her hunger strike to other Plaza de Mayo mothers, said they will carry out work for them too. Cortinas said; "I lost my own son from the war in our country and his body is still lost. We continue our struggle for justice and quest like you do with your actions here. I never took the picture of my son off my neck. That is the symbol for me. Therefore, I understand the importance and meaning of your action very well."   Güven, stating that she shares the grief of Plaza de Mayo mothers, said the pain is a common thing on the lands in war and that they will always be in solidarity as mothers who defend peace against war.   Cortinas gifted the book that has a drawing that belongs to journalist and artist Zehra Doğan, “Gulê Gulîstan” which is written in Kurdish to Güven.
