Hunger striker Sipan Sömer: Be our voices out there 2019-04-06 11:30:01   ADANA- Sipan Sömer who has been on a hunger strike in Tarsus Prison since March 1,called on for awareness and said:"All we want from you is for you to be our voices out there."   The hunger strike of Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven is on its 150th day.    Sipan Sömer from Tarsus No 1 Closed prison joined the hunger strike on March 1.     Sömer was arrested on witness statements by Adana 8th Criminal Court with the accusation of 'being a member of an illegal organization and was sentenced to 7 years in prison.   Mother Fatma Sömer said his son whom she visited on April 1 told her that their morale is high, they are struggling in there and people should struggle outside and that all they want from the people outside is to be their voices.   Mother Sömer who stated that her son have lost a great deal of weight, called on to the authorities to meet the demands as soon as possible. Sömer who said they can not think of anything other than their son and the thousands of hunger strikers, said: "It is tearing us apart. We are on hunger strike with our children. We don't want funerals coming out of prisons. As mothers, we will do what is necessarry."
