Police blockade to the lawyers making statement about the isolation

	MERSİN- The press statement ÖHD and İHD wanted to do in front of Mersin COurthouse was blockaded by the police.

	 

	Association of Lawyers for Freedom and Humans' Rights Association member lawyers wanted to make a press statement in front of Mersin Courthouse regarding the hunger strikes. But the lawyers was blockaded by the police and prevented from making the statement. According to the police, the reason they were not allowed to go through with the press statement was the instruction of the prosecutor.

	 

	The lawyers started a sit in in the Court house yard and protested the situation.Attorney Mehmet Altundaş reacted to the fact their press statement was blocked and said: "As attorneys, we wanted to make a press statement about the hunger strikes. If you do not allow to do that, we will not accept doing it outside of the court house. We are attorneys, this is where we belong."

	 

	After that the lawyers protested the blockade with applauses and left the court house.
