Prisoners from Tekirdağ Prison: We will not give up the hunger strike 2019-04-15 10:42:01 ADANA- Mirza Aydın from Tekirdağ Prison who is on hunger strike since March 1, said: "Our hunger strike action will continue until the isolation is removed. We will not give up the hunger strike." His mother Gişvar Aydın also demanded the isolation to be removed before the deaths. Mirza Aydın, a prisoner from Tekirdağ No 2 Type F Closed Prison, is on a hunger strike demanding the termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Aydın family had to migrate to Adana from Van, Başkale because of the state policy in the 90's.Mirza Aydın who was taken under custody in İstanbul in 2006, was sentenced to 17 years in prison with the accusation of 'being a member of an illegal organization'.   Aydın who called his mother on April 8, said:" Mother, I am on hunger strike, they don't give us our newspapers or our letters. Our hunger strike action will continue until the isolation is terminated. We will not give up our hunger strike."   Mother Gişvar Aydın who stated that she was not able to see her son from a year, said the prison administration inflicts  disciplinary punishments to her son all the time, and the last time she went to the prison to visit her son, he was not able to come see her. Gişvar Aydın said: "I haven't seen my son from a year and now he is on hunger strike. I stand behind my son."
