Güngör who is on hunger strike for 132 days is now 43 kilos 2019-04-26 14:14:29 İSTANBUL- Yasin Güngör who is on hunger strike for 132 days demanding the termination of the isolation in İmralı, is now 43 kilos.Güngör tld his brother that they are being battered and insulted by the guards. Mother Sacide and father Selamettin Güngör learned that their son is on hunger strike when they visited him 2 weeks later after he started.Both his mother and his father started an indefinite non-rotating hunger strike to support their son. They ended their hunger strike a month later when their children persuaded them to stop.   Father Güngör who stated that the isolation is imposed on the whole Kurdish community, said: "They think they will oppress us and make us give up. But we will not give up.We are supporting our son.Our children will continue the hunger strike until the isolation is removed. And we will be supporting them."   Father Güngör called on to the authorities and said: "I have a call for the government. They should consider our children like their own. 8 peopla already lost their lives. They should prevent more deaths.This is our demand from the government.     Mother Güngör who stated that she hasn't been seeing his son for 3 months, said: "He doen't want to see us because he is on hunger strike. He says I can not handle seeing him like that.I can't handle it when I don't see him all the same. I can't take it anymore.I want this isolation on the Kurdish people to be removed."
