'We stand behind the demands of our children' 2019-04-27 09:56:38 HAKKARİ - Necima Turan, mother of Rıdvan Turan who is on hunger strike for 124 days in Tekirdağ No 2 Type F Prison, said they stand behind the demand of their children and they have already passed the critical threshold. Turan who was accused of 'being a member of an illegal organization' was sentenced to 18 years, which he served 11 of them. Mother Necime Turan have last seen her son on hunger strike last year at the Greater Eid because of financial difficulties. Mother Turan who stated that as a family they are very concerned that her son is on hunger strike, said: "They are on hunger strike for 124 days demanding the termination of the isolation. They said their health is not well the last time we spoke, but they will continue the hunger strike anyway.   Turan who stated that the mothers and the fathers suffer the greatest of pain, "We are hurting deeply about the ones who lost their lives at the protests and their families.I want to offer my condolences to the families who lost their children. We want this isolation to be removed immediately.We don't want to hear the news of our children dying."   'THEIR DEMANDS ARE OUR DEMANDS'     Mother Turan who stated that even though many years have passed, she still checks on her son's room when she wakes up, said it tears her heart out that he is not there.   Mother Turan said: "We prepare breakfast in the morning and remember our son is hungry. I get up from the table crying. It goes on like this every morning. I know the other families are living through the same thing. We stand behind the demands of our children. End the isolation!"
