Joins hunger strikes to support her son 2019-05-04 12:37:58 ADANA - Sabriye Bahadır, mother of Ahmetcan Bahadır who is on hunger strike for 65 days, joined the hunger strike action to support her son. Ahmetcan Bahadır who is a prisoner in Tarsus No 3 Type T CLosed Prison, joined the hunger strikes demanding the termination of isolation in İmralı. Ahmetcan's mother Sabriye Bahadır joined the hunger strike action on April 26 to support his son.   Bahadır who stated that her son is on hunger strike with 19 friends, started the hunger strike on March 1, said the prisoners are in critical condition. Bahadır who stated that she joined the hunger strikes because of the silence in the society, said: "My husband and my children doesn't know that I joined the hunger strike. I just take liquids. My son is hungry in there."     'I AM TRYING TO UNDERSTAND HOW THEY FEEL'   Bahadır who stated that the demands are legitimate and lawful, said the Ministry of Justice is remaining unresponsive to the demands. Bahadır who stated that she started the hunger strike because of this, said: "I hope our voice will be heard before any more mothers and fathers got cut to the bone."     Bahadır who called on to the public to be consciencious, addressed the authorities and said: "Have some conscience and support this. Remove the isolation so that our children can live. We don't want to see more funerals coming out of prisons."
