Family of Çeşme on death fast: If they have made this decision, we have to support it 2019-05-04 12:39:01 İSTANBUL - Yeter Çeşme Seyhan, elder sister of Ardıl Çeşme who is on a death fast against isolation, said: "This is a sacred decision. Not everyone can make it. If they have made this decision, we have to support and respect it as a family. Seyhan made a call, inviting everyone to be the voices of the prisoners.   Ardıl Çeşme who have been on hunger strike in Gebze Type M Closed Prison since March 1, started a death fast on April 30. Çeşme who started self-questioning about his Kurdish identity, got involved with People's Labour Party (HEP).    Çeşme who persuaded his sister Necla Çeşme first, later included his family to his struggle. His sister Yeter Çeşme Seyhan who visited her brother after he decided to start the death fast, said: "We were very moved. He was not able to speak too. We did not either. Things got really emotional. This is a sacred decision. Not everyone can make it. If they have made this decision, we have to support and respect it as a family. Seyhan made a call, inviting everyone to be the voices of the prisoners." Seyhan who conveyed the message of his brother said: "Nothing was done until now. If you can't do anything, we will, with a death fast."     Sister Seyhan who goes to the watch in front of the Gebze Prison, said the other members of the family are joining the demonstrations in front of the Diyarbakır Prison. Seyhan said: "Let's be their voices. This silence scares us. We are ready to do anything we can. Let's rise up. Let's get them victory before they pay a huge price. I am calling on to all mothers, families, Kurdish community, please rise up! Do anything in your power to keep them alive. Find a solution. Let's end this isolation. Let's be their voices and end the hunger strikes."
