
Demand concerning stay of proceedings against Leyla Güven has been rejected

	DİYARBAKIR- In the case of Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Guven who have been on a &nbsp;200-day hunger strike against solitary confinement, the lawyers' request for the suspension of the trial within the scope of immunity was rejected by the court.

	STAY OF PROCEEDINGS REJECTED

	&nbsp;

	Lawyer Reyhan Yalçındağ, who had made the defense concerning Güven's file, demanded the suspension of the proceedings under Article 83 of the Constitution because Güven is a member of parliament. Yalçındağ demanded the abolition of the ban on foreign exit implemented within the scope of judicial control measures.

	&nbsp;

	The court adjourned the hearing by rejecting the lawyers' request for the suspension of the proceedings and the lifting of the ban on foreign exit as a measure of judicial control.
