Attorney's of Öcalan speaks about the visit on May 22 2019-06-01 11:51:32   İSTANBUL - Attorneys Newroz Uysal and Rezan Sarıca who told about their visit to İmralı on May 22 in detail, said Öcalan told them that he is trying to prevent the realtionship betweet Turks and Kurds from getting irreversable damage, and an honourable peace.      Asrın Law Office lawyers who were able to visit Öcalan as his attorneys for the second time in 8 years, answered our questions about the visit.     what was the main subject Öcalan spoke about in the visit?     His main subject was the hunger strikes and the death fasts. However, in our meeting on May 2, we discussed the purpose of the 7-item text, the relevant discussions and its impact. In addition, democratic politics, the Mem û Zîn Epic and his approaches to women's freedom, in which we evaluated our previous interview, were among the topics we discussed.     How did Mr. öcalan assessed the hunger strikes and the death fasts?  How should we evaluate his words in his message where he said: "I am expecting you to accompany me with sufficient intensity and will especially after now'?       Mr. Öcalan exemplified Gandhi a couple of times in our conversation and suggested that the hunger strikers must study Gandhi, especially Leyla Güven. He said that Gandhi also made hunger strikes, but he led the political struggle beyond hunger strikes, which was a sine qua non of the hunger strike actions.     While he expressed that the prisoners on hunger strike and death fasts are much braver than him, he said what is necessary is to lead the people not walking to your own death. He said that he have been thinking about himself everyday for the past 21 years and comes up with 10 different ideas that makes hm question what he should do, he added that those in the dungeons should self improve and make themselves comrades that can walk with him.     While he cares about the prisoners getting their health back, he stated that they should make themselves competent in sould, body and mind to walk with him. He said that predicades himself on being competent and adequate and that's how he positions himself.     About a week before the meeting, the CPT delegation visited İmralı after 3 years. Has Öcalan shared any information with you about this visit. How did he interpret the interview?   Upon our question,he confirmed that there has been a visit but he did not share any further details with the CPT's visit.     What does the seven article declaration to be discussed in Turkey's public opinion that Öcalan mentions means? Again, he says 'We will be able to understand how they will respond within 30- 40 days from all circles', how is this 7 article declaration important?       The main reason for Mr. Öcalan's emphasis on 2013 is the social climate that emerged after the Newroz declaration in 2013. Otherwise, it is clear that the process perception arising from this emphasis should not occur and is not a process at the moment.   Mr. Öcalan stated that he observed polarization and dissociation in the society in both meetings. In particular, he says that he is trying to prevent Turkish-Kurdish relations not to be damaged beyond repair; he also says that he has a will to secure an honourable peace and Turkey must produce the same will as well.     The 7-item text also reveals the method that will enable the realization of Öcalan's democratization and dignified peace. Each article needs to be discussed and understood separately. He stated that he had reached a deeper and more intense level in the discussions he had conducted in his discussions for the past 23-25 ??years.   This approach of Mr. Öcalan is historical and principled and should not be reduced to daily issues. He ended the hunger strikes and death fasts by his one call. When When we stated that the activists wanted to remove the absolute isolation carried out in İmralı and wanted the assurances, he said that they are right and stated that the situation would be understood more clearly within 30-40 days. For Mr. Öcalan, the 30-40 day period is considered to be important in terms of understanding whether there will be a will to remove absolute isolation, and on the approaches of every environment related to the 7-item text.   We would like to emphasize that we have seen that Öcalan, who has shared his message with the public, is not pessimistic but hopeful and confident in his call with his will and determination.     Öcalan states in his message that he depends on the 2013 solution process. Why does he refer specifically to this process?   The main reason for Mr. Öcalan's emphasis on 2013 is the social climate that emerged after the Newroz declaration in 2013. Otherwise, it is clear that the process perception arising from this emphasis should not occur and there is not a process at the moment.   In both meetings, there are separate topic titles on developments in Syria, including Rojava / North and East Syria. Can you elaborate a few suggestions for solutions?   Mr. Öcalan, considering the HDP's founding process, thinks that there is a has a third line between Turkish-Islamic nationalism and classical secular Turkish nationalism, and that if the third line would be followed HDP can get 30%.   Mr. Öcalan's statements about the 7-article text in Northern Syria have been echoed and discussed throughout the world. It is quite natural for this to happen. It is obvious that the Middle East comes as a whole with the dimensions of war and chaos. Both global, regional and local powers do not provide solutions for this issue and deepen the existing problems. At this point, Mr. Öcalan presents concrete, realistic and permanent solutions to the question of the integrity and democratization of Syria, which is not limited with the Kurdish question. He explained his approach on this subject in detail in the fifth defense.   Mr. Öcalan stated that in the event of a possibility, he will play a positive role in all of Syria's problems, including the Kurdish issue. He emphasized that his own ideas and solution proposals would solve the problems of Syria, and that the fundamental rights of the Kurds and other communities should be constitutionally secured.   Mr. Öcalan says that strengthening of local governments in terms of constitutional assurance, democratic autonomy, federated system and other discussions. In the same way, he cares about politics and diplomatic negotiations with regional solutions. We can say that Mr Öcalan emphasized the need to be sensitive to mutual sensitivities in both meetings. In addition,he said that in the case of a possible Syrian Democratic Constitution, feedbacs could be recieved from Europe, Turkey and even more.
