Toğrul: Democracy alliance should step forward for a new constitution 2019-06-29 10:22:57 ANTEP - HDP Antep MP Mahmut Toğrul who stated that the discriminating policies of AKP forced the people to a new path, said: "Democracy front and the opposition parties must come together and take immediate steps for a new constitution the people of Turkey desperately need."     Ekrem İmamoğlu who won the elections with the support of the HDP voters, the future of the democracy alliance established by the opposition is being discussed.People's Democratic Party (HDP) Antep MP and Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) administrator Assoc. Dr. Mahmut Toğrul evaluated the election results.   Toğrul said: "HDP voters have a big share in the vote difference of June 23. Not only for İstanbul but also for Adana, Mersin, Antalya, İzmir, Ankara and Hatay. HDP voters did not support Binali Yıldırım or Ekrem İmamoğlu. HDP voters chose the 3rd path their party established. They made a stance for the democracy front to win. Everyone who is biased or impartial have seen that HDP voters are decisive both in Istanbul and other metropols."     Stressing that the 6 municipalities that HDP won have been usurped by the trap established by YSK, Toğrul said: "With the subsequent investigations, they have usurped our municipal council memberships. Kurdish voters are the community in Turkey that knows about politics in Turkey best. They saw the contradiction and insincerity very clearly. Kurdish voters who saw the game at play, mobilized all their power and voted in the June 23 elections. The result we recieved on June 23 lead to the democracy alliance which we call the third path. The people who are tired of the policies of AKP are looking for another way. We, as the opposition parties, must respond to this need. Democracy front and the opposition parties must come together and take immediate steps for a new constitution the people of Turkey desperately need.  No matter what anyone says, HDP is the most powerful force that provides Kurdish representation."
