HDP announces proposal for Tourism Agency: First protect Hasankeyf 2019-07-09 10:57:45 ANKARA - HDP annotated the bag bill of AKP regarding the establishment of Turkey's Tourism Promotoion and Development Agency. HDP who reminded Hasankeyf to be flooded, drew attention to the contradiction between AKP's discourse and practice.     People's Democratic Party annotated the proposal that was tabled by AKP MP's regarding the establishment of Turkey's Tourism Promotoion and Development Agency. According to the proposal the agency to be established will help the country reach its goals in tourism, to promote it in the world. Furthermore, the tourism share will be collected from the income obtained from the tourism sector activities of the agency sector representatives and the agency will be exempt from the Court of Accounts and Public Procurement Laws (GCC).     The 13-article law proposal, which will be discussed at the General Assembly today, was criticized by People's Democratic Party (HDP) and was annotated. Commenting on the establishment of an autonomous agency despite there is a Minisry of Culture and Tourism, HDP defended that it makes the ministry redundant.      HDP said to propose such a bag bill is a contradiction while 12 thousand year old historic Hasankeyf is under the danger of being flooded for a dam. HDP said: "The justification of the law proposal made an emphasis on Turkey being the worlds most common place hosting ancient civillizations and Turkey being full of beuties, while not a day goes by AKP doesn't propose other laws to destroy them."
