Ünsal: It would be appropriate for İmamoğlu to go to Diyarbakır 2019-08-22 13:35:52   ANKARA - Politician Ahmet Faruk, who states that AKP is trying to make HDP pay the price for making them lose İstanbul, said that trustees can be appointed to other party's municipalities and the next name to  be dismissed might be Mansur Yavaş. Ünsal emphasized the importance of İmamoğlu, visiting Diyarbakır.     Former AKP MP Ahmet Faruk Ünsal who evaluated the appointment of trustees to People's Democratic Party (HDP) municipalities, said the situation is not abrupt.     Reminding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement at the March 31 local election campaign where he said 'Its not certain that if they get their mandate in the case they win the elections or if they ever will be able to work', Ünsal said the appointment of the trustees did not come as a surprise. Ünsal stating that even though Turkey's democracy is problematic, the elections were held up until now for better or worse, Ünsal  stated that the ruling block consisting of  AKP-MHP-Homeland Party have been blatantly violating the law and democracy.     Stating that one of the reasons for the power to turn to HDP was the Istanbul elections, Ünsal said: "There was already a state practice about turning to HDP. However, one of the most important reasons for the recent inclination is that the Kurds are the most open to attack amongst the opposition.Losing Istanbul was a major blow for the AKP, they never expected. We see that the AKP is trying to make HDP pay for it."   Ünsal stating that it would be appropriate for İmamoğlu to visit Diyarbakır, Van and Mardin, said: "It is worthy of a mayor who has suffered a coup d'etat both as a political liaison and a loyalty to his relationship with the electorate, this would be very appropriate and seemly. Mr. İmamoğlu made a tour of the Eastern Black Sea before the June 23 elections. He completed his Black Sea tour of Turkey. It would be seemly if he visited the Kurdish provinces."
