In solitary confinement for 6 months 2019-08-30 11:02:28 DİYARBAKIR - Gülistan Al who was arrested in Adana and transferred to Antep Prison where there is no political prisoners, is being kept alone in solitary confinement for 6 months now.     Gülistan al who was arrested in May 2017 have recieved a visitation ban for more than 2 years as a  result of the disciplinary proceedings. Al, who has been imprisoned for 2 and a half years, have been staying alone in solitary confinement for 6 months now. Al was arrested with the accusation of disrupting the unity of the state and the integrity of the country and her requests to be transferred to another prison is being rejected. Al does not have a finalized decision about her case yet.    AL's mother Emine Al, stating that her daugther is being kept alone in solitary confinement, said she was not able to see her daughter except for holidays because of the disciplinary penalties. Mother Al, stating that there are no political prisoners in the prison her daughter is being kept, said: "She has a visitation ban for more than 2 years now. We can't see her except for holidays and a few special days. She had a visitation right for the New Year's Eve but because she had a trial the same day, we couldn't see her. We haven't been able to see our child for 6 months."
