
Unanimous release decision for Demirtaş

	ANKARA - In the case of Selahattin Demirtas, the court unanimously decided to release him. However, Demirtaş will not be released because there is a finalized decision about him with a sentence of 4 years and 8 months' imprisonment.

	The 11th hearing of People's Democratic Party (HDP) Former Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş was held today by Ankara 19th High Criminal Court. Both Demirtaş and his attorneys did not attend the hearing. The court decided his release unanimously.

	Ramazan Demir, one of Selahattin Demirtaş's attorneys made a twitter share from his account, announced the decision of release.&nbsp;

	&nbsp;

	The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) will hold a hearing on 18 September 2019 in Strasbourg regarding the appeal of Demirtaş.
