	ANKARA - AKP President Tayyip Erdogan met with Russian President Vladimir Putin about the developments in Syria.

	&nbsp;

	Erdogan said in a written statement from the Presidency that the military operation planned to the east of the Euphrates will contribute to the peace and stability of Syria and pave the way for the political process in Syria.

	&nbsp;

	Erdoğan said to Putin :"The preservation of the rights and interests of the people of Syria is essential for Turkey" and added that "Turkey apprechiates the constructive attitude of the Russian Federation'.
