Iranian director Bangîn: War lasts a year, hatred lasts a century 2019-10-18 10:22:16 İVAN - East Kurdistani Director Resûl Bangîn who wants the Turkish attacks against the Kurds to stop, said: "War lasts a year, hatred lasts a century. We spent all our lives hating those who opress us. We don't want our children to grow up with hatred."   Iranian Director Resûl Bangîn who attended Van theater Festival held by Mencel, spoke to our agency regarding Turkey's attack against North and East Syria with the Salafi groups. Bangîn stating that it is a wrong perception to accept all the demands of the Kurdish community as political demands, said: "All the political, financial, cultural and social demands of the Kurds are seen as political demands by the states. While the peoples of the world can express their demands freely, Kurds accepting any demands are deemed a crime. Every human being has their right to life. Why are the rights granted to the peoples of the world seen too much for the Kurds?"   Bangîn stating that the attacks against the Kurds must stop and the war has bad consequences amongst the people, said: "When the wars are over, it is important how the people will look into each others faces. Those who oppress the Kurds today, how will they look into our eyes? What will their response be after our children, our families die? Will those who persecute us be heroes when they die while our children will be called terrorists?"   Bangîn stating that the wars last for a year but the hatred lasts a century, said: "All we want is that this hatred being created by the governments does not grow any bigger. We spent whole our lives hating those who inflict cruelty on us, who oppress us. But we don't want our children to grow up like we did. We want our children to grow up like all the children in the world, freely. We are struggling to keep alive our culture, language, living spaces. We dont want no body's lands nor lives."
