ATK report expected in Kemal Kurkut case 2019-10-23 12:48:33   DİYARBAKIR - In the case of Kemal Kurkut, which will be held tomorrow, the Forensic Medicine Institution (ATK) report is expected to be sent, which is to solve the contradiction between the reports so far.     The hearing for the murder of Kemal Kurkut, a university student who was killed during the 2017 Newroz celebration in Diyarbakır, will be held at Diyarbakır 7th High Criminal Court.Police officer Yakup Ş is on trial for 'murder in the first degree'.     According to the National Criminal Office's (UKB) initial report, Kurkut was killed by direct fire from the police, on May 30.  In the second report prepared by the Forensic Medicine Institute (ATK), Kurkut was killed by a ricocheting bullet.  The court asked the ATK to prepare a new report in order to eliminate the conflict between the UKB and ATK reports.   REPORT EXPECTED   At the hearing tomorrow, the court is expected to reach a result. However, the report has still not been submitted to the court. It is not known whether the report was prepared or not.   It remains unclear whether the report can resolve conflicts.
