
Trustees were appointed to 4 municipalities of HDP

	MARDİN - Trustees were appointed to Mardin's Savur, Derik and Mazıdağı municipalities and Urfa's Suruç Municipality following the detentions of their Co- Mayors. With this decision, trustees were appointed to 24 of the 69 municipalities won by HDP in the March 31 elections.&nbsp;

	&nbsp;

	The governership appointed District Goverber Hakan Kafkas instead of dismissed Derik Co- Mayor Mülkiye Esmez, District Governer Muhsin Duran Kalkan instead of Mazıdağı Municipality Co- Mayor Nalan Özaydın and District Governer Bayram Türker instead of Savur Municipality Co- Mayor Gülistan Öncü.

	A TRUSTEE WAS APPOINTED TO SURUÇ AS WELL

	&nbsp;

	A trustee was appointed to Suruç Municipality following the detention of Suruç Co- Mayor Hatice Çevik. District Governer Kenan Aktaş was appointed as the trustee to the Suruç Municipality. Çevik is being accused of 'membership of an illegal organization' and 'propagandizing an illegal organization'.

	The HDP won a total of 65 municipalities in the March 31 local elections in 3 metropols, 5 provinces, 45 districts and 12 towns.

	&nbsp;

	With these recent trustee appointments, trustees were appointed to 24 of the municipalities won by the party. 3 of them are metropolitan municipalities.
