Nurcan Bakır jailed for 28 years ended her life 2020-01-15 14:31:09   BALIKESİR - Sick prisoner Nurcan Bakır who was transferred from Gebze to Balıkesir against her will after the 200 hunger strikes protesting isolation, ended her life against oppression. Bakır who spoke to her family on the phone yesterday, told that she will not be silence against persecution.   Nurcan Bakır who was jailed for 28 years first in Gebze Prison and then in Balıkesir Prison after the hunger strikes, protested the oppression and ended her life. Bakır's family was informed by the prison administration thats he was found dead in her ward, was taken to Forensic Medicine Institude (ATK).     I WILL NOT STAY SILENT AGAINST PERSECUTION   47 year old Bakır who had 2 more years to serve time and who had an application in ECHR because she was a sick prisoner, spoke to her family on the phone yesterday. Bakır told her family that she will not stay silent against persecution and that she dreams about the massacred children every night when she sleeps.   Bakır's family is on the way to Balıkesir to claim their daughter's body and told that she will be buried in Kayakdere village in Ömerli district of Mardin.
