Investigation about 50 people for posts about earthquake 2020-01-27 14:28:17 ANKARA - Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against 50 people, after Interior Minister Soylu said they would open an investigation to those who shared social media posts on the earthquake.   An investigation was launched by Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office about 50 people who criticized the government for not responding efficiently to the earthquake victims following the 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Elazığ.    The Public Chief Prosecutor's Office scrutinised the accounts that allegedly tried to 'create a negative perception' by sharing photos of earthquakes elsewhere and launched an investigation following the instruction of Süleyman Soylu.   Those who are being investigated are accused of 'Creating panic and anxiety amongst people' and  'Humiliating the Turkish Nation, the state and its institutions'.
