	ISTANBUL - Kurdish politician and writer Fuad Önen is taken into custody on the grounds of his social media posts.

	Kurdish politician and writer Fuad Önen is taken into custody by the police in Istanbul. It was reported that Önen was detained on charges of “making propaganda for an organization” by the ground of social media posts criticizing the Roboski Massacre and the operation against North-East Syria, which was aunched on October 9, 2019

	The testimony of Önen is expected to be taken during the day.

	WAS SENTENCED TO 3 YEARS OF PRISON

	Önen was sentenced to 3 years and 1 month of prison in Istanbul last year due to a trial he was put in the 32nd High Criminal Court of İstanbul, on charges of “making propaganda for PKK”.
