Kurdish parties set up 2 commissions for unity 2020-02-12 11:32:53 DİYARBAKIR - After the workshop on the unity of the Kurds, it was decided to establish the Diplomacy and Public Relations Commission and a commission on the unity model to be formed. "Our first goal is to create unity within ourselves," said MP Imam Tascier. The Kurdistani Alliance Study, which consists of 8 Kurdish parties including the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) held a "National Unity Workshop" on December 18-19 in Diyarbakır. Political party representatives, religious scholars, association representatives, writers and intellectuals attended the workshop. In the final declaration announced at the end of the workshop, the emphasis was made on “growing the national congress target by partnering in 4 parts”.   'IT IS THE RIGHT OF THE KURDS'   Emphasizing that Kurds need national unity, Taşçıer said, “The Kurds have always said, 'If we were united, we would not be in this situation today'. Therefore, we must establish our national union. Unity generates power. The position of the Kurds would have been different today if there had been unity.” Pointing out that the Union is not against the states, but for the Kurds to gain their own status, Taşçıer said that it is the right of the Kurds.   'THE UNION SHOULD TRANSFORM INTO AN ORGANIZATION'   Underlining that the idea of an organization for the union came together with the workshop, Taşçıer said, “No matter how much we want the union, it should turn into an organization. This institution is necessary for a common reaction when there is an attack on the Kurds or their achievements or their common values. Underlining that all Kurdish parties struggling for the Kurds should participate in the activities for the union, Taşçıer said, “This should produce politics by coming together. We have passed many stages in this regard. The parties, which did not come together 20 years ago, now come all together as 10 parties and discuss."   'OUR MAIN GOAL IS THE UNION IN THE NORTH'   Underlining that they are trying to achieve national unity in democratic politics, Taşçıer stated that they will go anywhere where Kurds exist in order to make diplomatic contacts in the coming period. Referring to the delegation who visited the region in Federated Kurdistan, Taşçıer said, “This delegation came together with the intellectuals there and both sides shared information. Our main goal is to form our unity in Northern Kurdistan. Then, it is to enlarge this goal and bring it together with other parts. Our first goal is to create our unity within ourselves."     MA / Mehmet Şah Oruç
