The trial of Journalist Kaya is postponed

	AĞRI - The 8th hearing of the trial against journalist Abdullah Kaya, who was sued for recording a festival, which was organised with the permission Ağrı Governorate, was tried.

	 

	Journalist Abdullah Kaya from Dicle News Agency (DİHA), which was closed due to a statutory decree. has been on the 8 trial of the case opened against him on the ground of recording the "Peace and NAture Festival" held on Ağrı Mountain on September 3, 2014. The accusation is "intentionally assisting the organization even though not being a member of the organization". DİHA  Kaya was tried in the 8th hearing of the case, Kaya and his lawyer attended the 8th hearing on the 2nd High Criminal Court.

	 

	Defending himself, Kaya reminded that the festival in question was held with the permission of the governor. Noting that the journalistic activity is on trial, Kaya demanded acquittal.

	 

	The court postponed the hearing until May 14 in order to listen to a defendant who did not attend the hearing.
