Families applied to visit İmralı

	İSTANBUL- The families of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and THE other detainees in İmralı applied Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to meet with their relatives.

	Mehmet Öcalan, the brother of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and his custodian Mazlum Dinç applied Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to visit PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who was held in İmralı F Type Closed High Security Closed Prison. The other detainees in İmralı are Ömer Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş. Emin Konar, brother of Ömer Hayri Konar, Polat Yıldırım, brother of Hamili Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş's sister Melihe Çetin and her daughter Eylem Çetin also applied the prosecutor's office through their lawyers for a visit to their relatives.

	Ömer Hayri Konar and Veysi Aktaş were able to meet with their families only on June 5 and August 12, 2019 respectively, since they went to İmralı as “Secretariat” on 15 March 2015. Hamili Yıldırım was taken to İmralı on 15 June, 2015. All the aplications filed by the families since August 12, 2019 are rejected.
