Buses rented for congress were impounded: Party members started walking 2020-02-22 13:46:27   VAN –  The 3 buses HDP rented by the party to set off from Van to Ankara where the HDP congress to be held, was prevented from setting off by the police who claims what the buses are impounded. Later, some of the party members started walking until the buses arrived.   Three buses carrying party members from Van to the 4th Great Ordinary Congress to be held in Ankara tomorrow have been stopped by the police leaving Van. The police claiming that the 3 buses rented by the party members are impounded did not allow the buses leave the bus station. They made the party members get off the bus. The drivers of the buses stated that there were nothing wrong with the buses and that this is an arbitrary situation.   PARTY MEMBERS STARTED WALKING   Similarly another bus heading towards Ankara from Çaldıran and Muradiye was stopped at the Gendermerie Search Point. Some party members reacting to the arbitrary confiscation started walking until they find another vehicle.   HDP Muradiye District Co-chair Vahyettin Uca who spoke about what happened, said the decision to impound these buses was given yesterday, on February 21. Uca said: "The vehicle is banned from traffic the minute we headed off to Ankara. This is clearly a conscious move to prevent us from going to Ankara. We spoke to our friends after this incident, they are sending us a new vehicle, we are going to Ankara."
