Enthusiasm that doesn't fit in the hall: Congress challenges fascism 2020-02-23 14:11:10 ANKARA - The people commenting on the 4th Ordinary Congress of HDP that doesn't fit into the hall, said the congress is challenging fascism.    Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) 4th Ordinary Grand Congress continues in Ankara Sports Hall (Arena). Many peoplecoming from all around Turkey are waiting outside the hall because of the crawd in the hall. Women are shouting slogans like “Jin jiyan azadî” “Bê serok jiyan nabe”, “Salut, Salut, I Salut you Imralı”, “Oppression can't intimidate us” in their local clothes from all colours.     The police, who were disturbed by the slogans of the crowd that went out of the hall, intervened from time to time. Intervention did not turn into tension with intervention of HDP deputies.   The enthusiasm of thousands of people in the hall peaked when the photos of the leaders of Turkish Revolutionary Movement and PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's photos reflected in the cinevision.    The participants of the congress shared their feelings and thoughts with our agency.   ROBOSKI MOTHERS ARE AT THE CONGRESS   Kadriye Encu, a Roboski Mother, wishing success to the congress, said: "We are protecting out language. I hope HDP goes further and we'll see beautiful days ahead. HDP is the light for me, it is the joint lives of the peoples."   Nedim Genç coming from İstanbul for the congress said: "This congress is the ultimate answer that can be given to fascism and Süleyman Soylu who wants to end HDP. This congress will be the hope for the peoples."   TUNÇ: BE THE CONGRESS OF PEACE AND FREEDOM   Zeynep Tunç, wife of Mehmet Tunç who was burned to death in the basements of Cizre during the curfews was also present at the congress. Tunç, emphasizing the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, said: "Let the isolation end now! Let no body die anymore. We want peace in the world. HDP is our everything. It illuminates our path. The will of the peoples is strong, nothing can destroy it. Let us be united and continue our insistance on freedom and peace. Let this be the congress of peace and freedom."   Gülsen Turan coming from Adana said: "It is an area of ​​common ground for all peoples to fight against lawlessness and inequality. Our hope grows with this congress. We are determined, we are inviting all the peoples of Turkey and the forces of democracy to meet on the basis of peace. We wish the congress to be instrumental in this."   'THE PICTURE OF HOPE'   Ali Çİftçi, coming from Antalya, defined the congress as the photograph of the peoples hope towards democracy, a united life and better days.   İbrahim Kasun from Dersim said: "This congress has great meaning for us. HDP as the only party opposing the fascism of AKP and MHP, has undertaken the duty of being the only opposition in Turkey. The enthusiasm today is an indication of how much fascism regressed in the face of our struggle.   'THIS CONGRESS CHALLENGES FASCISM'   Ertuğrul Barka, who attended the congress from Antalya, said: “This Congress challenges fascism. Here we see brave, determined and enthusiastic peoples.Turkey is here with all its pertinacity, determination and their will to fight together. Enlightenment will grow with this congress.     Participants sang Aram Tigran's Zimanê Kurdî to draw attention to the pressures and obstructions against Kurdish.
