'We are worried about his life' 2020-05-02 09:45:54 MARDİN - Aynur Aşa, who shared that she has not been able to visit his husband Hasan Aşa in Diyarbakır No 4 Type T Prison for a month and half, said she was worried about his husbands life who has some chronic diseases, because of the outbreak. While thousand of ordinary prisoners were released as a result of the new law on execution during the coronavirus outbreak, tens of thousands of political prisoners  were left in prisons despite the danger of the epidemic. While this situation caused a public reaction, it created fear and anxiety for the relatives of these prisoners.   Family of Hasan Aşa (55), who is a prisoner in Diyarbakır No 4 Type T Closed Prison is one of these families. Aşa who was sentenced to 13 years and 6 months of prison sentence with the accusation of 'being a member of an illegal organization' and 'propagandizing an illegal organization' has been on dialysis for 10 years and imprisoned for 6 years.   Aynur Aşa (42) who stated that she has last seen his husband one and a half months ago, said she wasn't able to visit his husband since he was transferred to Diyarbakır Type D Closed Prison. Aşa who stated that she fears about her husband's life, said her husband needs dialysis 3 times a week or he may lose his life. Aşa also stated that the Forensic Medicine Institude gave a report despite all these that he can remain in prison.    Protesting the fact that the political prisoners were excluded in the law, Aşa said: "They must release all prisoner, especially the sick prisoners as soon as possible. We see sick prisoners in hospitals and see how poorly they are doing. One can not stand this. Sick prisoners should not be in prisons."
