Turkey: Number of confirmed Covid-19 cases exceeds 150,000 2020-05-19 09:28:24 NEWS CENTER - Another 31 people have died of Covid-19 in Turkey where 1,158 cases have been detected and 1,615 people have recovered during the past 24 hours. According to figures released by Turkish Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca on Monday, 31 more people have died of Covid-19 during the past 24 hours. The death toll from Coronavirus, since it first emerged in Turkey in early March, has risen to 4,171.   The total number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 150,593.   On the other hand, 963 people are in intensive care and 463 are intubated. 111,577 of those infected have recovered, according to official figures.   In the meantime, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Monday that a curfew will be in place in 81 cities during the Ramadan Feast (Eid al-Fitr).   He stated that mosques will be open to service partially, while the new education term will begin in September.
