4 kurdish politicans who were sentenced to 25 years are released 2020-05-20 16:32:09 BATMAN - 4 Kurdish prisoners, who have been imprisoned in Batman for around 6 months and sentenced to 25 years of prison, are released.   In November 27, 2019, houses of many 30 activists and politicians, including the delegates of Democratic Society Congress (DTK), members of theuman Right Association (İHD), activists of the Free Woman's Movement (TJA), the members of the Assembly of Peace Mothers and the executive of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) were taken into custody, among them 14 were imprisoned. As a result of the investigation 30 seperate cases were opened with the allegations of "being a member of an organization".    The trial in the Batman 2nd Heavy Penalty Court was seen today proceeded today regarding the imprisoned delegates of DTK, Sadrettin Yılmaz, Seyithan Tatar, Elif Koyuncu and Fatma Kapalıgöz.    The court sentenced each of the for politicians to 6 years and 4 months of prison, also a decision of release was given.
