A specialist sergeant sexually assaults 10-year-old kid in Şırnak

ŞIRNAK - A specialist sergeant who attempted to sexually assault a 10-year-old girl was caught by citizens who heard the screams of the little girl in Şırnak. 

 
A sexual attack on a 10-year-old girl was attempted in Tuesday evening at the city center of Turkey's mostly Kurdish-populated Şırnak province. According to the information we obtained a specialist sergeant was caught by citizens who heard the screams of the kid as the man was trying to sexually attack her.
 
Some footages recorded by the citizens regarding the incident were shared on social media.
 
The lawyer of the kid's family that Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reached regarding the assault attempt confirmed the incident. The lawyer shared the information that they are in contact with the prosecutor. 
Local residents of Şırnak protested in Wednesday afternoon the sexual attack incident at the city center. It is also among the hot topics on social media. Thousands of users reacts to the attack under the hashtag of #susmaşırnak (meaning "don't keep silent Şırnak").
 
'EYE-WITNESSES CONFIRM THE SEXUAL ATTACK'
 
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Şırnak MP Nuran İmir shared the footages recorded by the citizens after the incident, noting, “We will not leave the future of our children to the molesters. Last night, a specialist sergeant in Şaranlar site of Şırnak has harassed a 10-year-old kid. Eyewitnesses also confirmed the sexual attack incident."
 
HDP’s other Şırnak MP Hüseyin Kaçmaz also shared, “Last night in Şırnak a 10-year-old kid was subjected to harassment by a specialized sergeant. You keep quiet when a kid is sleeping, not while being abused. We will not keep silent."
