AYDIN - Police raided the building of HDP Germencik District Organization and seized electronic devices and certain materials and detained District Co-chair Tekin Erikli.
Police raided the Germencik District building of the Peoples' Democratic Party in Aydın early this morning. Opening the door with a locksmith, police siezed the electronic devices and some documents.
HDP District Co-chair Tekin Erikli and party executive Ali Şimşeker, who came to the party building upon the news of the raid, were also detained.
Şimşeker, one of the party members who was taken into custody for a poster of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, was released after the giving his statement at the police station. Erikli is still giving his statement.
