VAN - Following the detention of our reporter Dindar Karataş early this morning, our Van office was raided by the police.
Following the detention of Mesopotamia Agency (MA) reporter Dindar Karataş at his home with a raid on his home early this morning, our Van office was also raided. It was told that our office was raided on grounds that it is the workplace of Dindar Karataş. The raid was carried out by Anti Terror unit with the decision of Erzurum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
The search at our office continues.
SECOND RAID
MA reporters Adnan Bilen and Cemil Uğur, Jinnews reporter Şehriban Abi and journalist Nazan Sala who broke the story about Osman Şiban and Servet Turgut, who were thrown from a military helicopter on September 11, was detained and arrested on October 6. Our Van office was raided by the police during this operation and our equipment was confiscated.
