İSTANBUL - Êzidî intellectuals who stated that the KDP peshmerga dressed as Iraqi soldiers were among the forces that besieged Shengal, called everyone to be sensitive to the people of shengal who are face to face with a new massacre.

Reactions to the Shengal Agreement, which was signed between the Iraqi government and the Federated Kurdistan Administration which aims to change the civil and military administration of Shengal, are growing. According to the agreement, the Iraqi army announced that 10 thousand soldiers were sent to the region. Upon this, the Shengal Democratic Autonomous Council (MXDŞ) made a statement against the size of military shipments and possible developments that may occur afterwards, and named the possible developments to be experienced as the 75th edict.

The Êzidîs took the streets and announced that they did not recognize this agreement that was signed despite them. 551 Êzidî intellectuals that published a declaration on October 25 demanded Shengal to be recognized as an autonomous identity.

One of the signatories of the decleration, Navenda Mal û Komele Êzidîya (NAV-YEK) Co-Chair Hacı Çelik draw attention to the fact that the military deployment is at a worrying level and told that the Êzidî community is in grave danger.

THE ATTACKS ARE LINKED

Stating that the military deployment is unacceptable, Navenda Mal û Komele Êzidîya (NAV-YEK) Co-Chair Hacı Çelik said: "They are trying to finish what ISIS couldn't. " Drawing attention to the date of the agreement, October 9, which is also the date PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan was removed from Syria with an international conspiracy and also the same date with the operations against Grê Spî and Serêkanîyê, Çelik said: "This is an agreement made between Ankara, Baghdad and KDP, which is also backed by international forces. Their first aim is to annihilate a society who have been massacred over and over again for thousands of years. October 9 was a message. What happened in Efrin, Serekanîye, Grê Spî and Shengal and Maxmur are the same things. These attacks are interconnected. We hear that Iraqi army has deployed around 10 thousand soldiers around Shengal. They have sent troops to Çilmêra mountain, which is a sacred mountain for the Êzidî. This is a very high ground and a strategic place. they are targeting the system created by the children of Shengal. They have established their own defense and administration in the last 6 years with a great effort. Neither the Êzidî nor the Kurds accept that agreement. The Êzidî say that no one can take control of this place without annihilating the Êzidî. The Kurds and the Êzidî have won a great victory here against ISIS. Now they say they will protect the Êzidî 6 yers later. There are lies. And the people don't believe it too. There is a great anger amongst the Êzidî. Our stance against this is very clear."
