İSTANBUL - A number of people was taken into custody as a result of the operation against the People's Front in five provinces in Istanbul.

 
A large number of people, including members of Grup Yorum, were taken into custody in the operation against the People's Front in five provinces based in Istanbul. Of the 27 people issued with a detention order 16 were taken into custody.
 
People's Law Office (HHB) confirmed that Grup Yorum member Bahar Kurt, Sunay Yıldız, Sevda Kurban, Haydar Doğan, Ulaş Inci, Özlem Karataş and Nuri Cihanyandı were taken into custody.
 
The detainees were taken to the Istanbul Police Department on Vatan Street.
In the meantime, it was learned that some of the people arrested tested positive for coronavirus and were observing quarantine at home before being detained.
