Chairperson of the Association for the People's Bridge, Üstün Reinhart said: "We call on the governments of Turkey and Europe to recognize the immigrant rights unconditionally and to create a world where the dignity of all peoples are protected without emnity against the refugees."

 

Chairperson of the Association for the People's Bridge and Association for Solidarity with Refugees Chair Muhammed Salih spoke about the December 18 International Migrants Day. 

 

'WE HAVE NO CHOICE'

 

Mentioning the increase in the refugee murders, Association for Solidarity with Refugees Chair Muhammed Salih said the reason for these murders is the hate speech and xenophobia in Turkey. Salih said: "We see people are murdered as a result of fake news. Media shouldn't do this. They should be in solidarity with us. No one leaves their country voluntarily and without a viable reason. We have no choice. The governments should recognize the rights of the refugees." Stating that these problems remain unsolved for the last 9 years, Salih said: "We came here 9 years ago. We are no longer guests" and demanded steps to be taken in terms of education, health, accomodatiın and work.

 

LIVES OF REFUGEES ARE USED AS BARGAINING CHIPS

 

Chairperson of the Association for the People's Bridge, Üstün Reinhart told that they witnessed their basic rights taken away from them for the brutal strategic negotiations and their lives were used as bargaining chips.

 

Reinhart called to the governments of Turkey and Europe to recognize the basic rights of refugees unconditionally and to create a world where the dignity of all peoples are protected without emnity against the refugees to end these tragedies."
