Ten-year prison sentence for former MEBYA-DER co-chair Dicle

DİYARBAKIR - Former MEBYA-DER co-chair Ayşe Dicle was sentenced to 10 years and 7 months in prison.
 
The 13th hearing of the trial against MEBYA-DER Co-chair Ayşe Dicle (who is not in prison), for charges of "membership in a terrorist organization" was held at Diyarbakır 4th High Criminal Court. Dicle's lawyer Ferhat Kılınç attended the hearing.
 
The prosecution sought a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
 
As a result of the combination of sentences for the different charges, Ayşe Dicle was sentenced to 6 years 10 months and 15 days in prison. To this sentence, an extra 3 years and 9 months in prison were added for the charge of "making propaganda for a terrorist organisation".
 
Therefore the final prison sentence is of 10 years 7 months and 15 days.
